Celebrating Valentine’s Day Together
By Marcia Claesson
About 85 people gathered at Back to the Bible on Saturday, February 13, for the annual North Pointe Valentine’s Dinner. Dinner from Famous Dave’s was awesome: three kinds of barbecued meat, beans, salads, and their “to die for” cornbread, plus desserts and chocolate-covered strawberries. After a relaxing dinner came the traditional “Marriage Game” hosted by Tami Weissert. This year four couples participated: John and Mindy Kroesche, Ethan and Terah Wiekamp, Robert and Denise Hayden, and Dale and Linda Leffers, answering question such as:
Fill in the blank: “My husband is a natural born _______.”
How much of the housework would your husband say he does?
Fill in the blank: “Our marriage would be perfect if it wasn’t for ________.”
What candy was your first kiss like? A. Starburst, B. Good and Plenty, C. Goobers, D. Hot Tamales, E. Milk Duds
How many pairs of shoes does your wife own?
While the four couples answered the questions on stage, several audience members played along at their tables. It was a great way to get to know each other better. Congratulations to John and Mindy Kroesche, winners of this year’s Marriage Game.
