In high school or college, do you remember THE event of the year?   Maybe it was a party.  Maybe it was homecoming.  Maybe it was the prom.  Maybe it was a friend’s wedding. For a variety of reasons, the people, the atmosphere, the music, you didn’t want to miss it.  In His time on earth, Jesus invites us to join Him in THE event of eternity.   In John 17:25-26, we find out what makes this a “can’t miss” gathering. 

 

²⁵“O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me; ²⁶and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

 

            Jesus longs to include us in the love that He and the Father (and the Holy Spirit) have shared from eternity past.  Jesus didn’t come to earth because God was lonely and needed some friends.  He came to earth because the Father, Son and Spirit wanted to share what they have experienced from eternity past.  Don’t miss it!
